Mask making program started with the COVID -19 pandemic. The women were trained on mask making by the women of cooperative themselves. The training was provided in Merangding, Ghunsa and Kunikhop village. The women had prepared cloth-double layered mask as a part of covid relief emergency support. The mask was distributed to all household members and schools of all four villages. The mask was of great use during this pandemic where people could use it whenever they were out of the house. Since, Solu lies in high altitude and during winter the weather is extremely cold, the women had made a very good use of mask while working in fields and inside kitchen. According to women, they suffered very less from cold this year due to the use of mask .Total 6000 pieces of mask was distributed. All these women are now expert in mask making and can provide training to other people in time of need.
