What We Do
Our aim is to empower women in Solukhumbhu district.
One of our projects besides organic farming is to establish sewing workshops in selected villages.
Support
Nepal earthquake 2015, RFL (Root for Life) provided relief support to the villagers. Local women request Root for Life to continue the support for the empowerment of the women in the area.
In the year 2016, RFL and SWI (Social Work Institute) together started to work in Chyangsar, Solu. At that time, women were organized in different groups. Women of the area were not institutionalized or not set up their organization. Project facilitate women of the area to make women’s organization and registered as a cooperative “SAGARMATHA MILIJULI SANA KISHAN
MAHILA KRISHI SAHAKARI SANSTHA LTD” on 19 May 2017.
In the collaboration with RFL, SWI was able until 2022 to set up a training farm in Chyangsar, Merangding, and Kunikhop, which is a great success together with the local cooperative.
In the year 2019 Cha Ya Austria and Cha Ya Nepal joined the project and agree to replicate the training farm in Ghunsa Village.

Welcome to Solusisters
We are a women empowerment project being run at Solukhumbhu District. After the earthquake in 2015, we decided to take our fate into our own hands and organized ourselves into a women’s group. in 2017 the “Sagarmatha Milijuli Sana Kishan Mahila Krishi Sahakari Sanstha LTD” was founded.
